The knife in excellent condition, but it has two problems.

The first problem - missing tweezers and toothpick.
Tell me please the size (length, thickness, width) of these tools. Maybe I can pick up something from Victorinox.

The second problem is more annoying - the backlock does not fix the blade in the open position.
It's difficult to explain in English for me, but I hope you understand me.
Ledge of the backlock does not go into the slot on the blade. I think it is too long. On the photo is not very good perspective that would see it, but it still shows that the locking plate protrudes.
Is it possible to fix it somehow?

I've read of a knife thrower who preferred the USAF Camillus pilot survivor knife for it's metal composition, balance and durability. I'm now trying to determine the dates of production and usage during the Vietnam era. How can I tell the dates (are they always stamped on the knives?), where on the knives (as I've now heard of a couple of possibilities), and the authenticity? I've seen pictures of 'Camillus' printed on the blade @ hilt AND, written as if in 'cursive' (with the 's' on the end trailing as if a line underneath the rest of the word)! Are they BOTH genuine Camillus productions? What is known of their Vietnam war era quality? Some of these knives are being advertised as genuine and unused for sale (with the original packaging and all) for up to $750.00! I'm just trying to 'get my head around' what I've read on this blog and what I've read and seen - AND - to discern what is true - if that's possible at all…??!? Can anyone help? How do we know what is genuine and 'otherwise' of early Camillus work? How can we ask or require verification for authenticity? Thank you very much for all of your help and consideration.

Just picked one up from an auction, the Camillus ones I have seen at knife and gun shows are priced $75 or thereabouts, more if they can be dated to the Vietnam War period. The sheath has SFC Tolley written on the back of it but cannot locate date, are these supposed to be dated?

my stepfather just showed me a knife that he was given as a young boy (he's close to 60 yrs old now) and was curious about knowing the origin of it. it's a folding knife with a fork (3-pronged), knife, and spoon, which all fold out from the same end of the knife. all folded up, it's 4" long. with the spoon extended (the longest of the 3), the overall length is 7.25" long. the blade is 2 5/8" long from tip to tang, and the fork's prongs are 1 3/8" long each, with another 1.5" to the base of the fork. all 3 "click" into place 1/2 way through its folding travel (when they form a 90° angle with the handle).

it's got a stamp on the base of the knife blade, which itself is the middle of the 3:

Camillus
Cutlery Co
Camilllus N.Y.
U.S.A.

there is no handle material, just flat metal on both sides with rivets made of what looks like iron or steel (not brass). it doesn't look like there was ever any kind of handle material...it looks like at one time both sides of the body were either chromed or nickel plated, but most of it is gone now on one side, and it is pitted/flaky on the other side, with about 1/2 of it gone.

anyone know the model and/or dating of this knife?
