Just talked to my ZT (large popular) dealer that I have been on a list since August for the 0560. I called just to see if they have received any of the 550/560 knives. They have not recieved any of the 2 knives. They also mentioned they are pissed off that Kershaw supplied their foreign distributors first instead of their USA companies. I could tell by their tone that they were really not happy but they appreciated my patience.

Damn, I had placed my preorder/deposit with Howe's and just got an email from Jim saying that they're refunding my deposit because they just found out that they won't be getting any 0560/1s from this first run and don't know when they will. :(

Question?:

Is it against the dealer/manufacturing rules to charge over MSRP for a knife?

not referring to individual sales, but an authorized ZT dealer charging way over MSRP.

Don't think it is against any rules.... But, please pm me the name of that distributor. This way I'll never do business with them.

I was sure to make my dealer aware (if they were not already) of this fact after it was posted here. The initial response was "we expect them soon". But as is being pointed out, after finding out that what has been reported did in fact happen, dealers are revising their ETA to mid summer.

I would expect the fallout from this to be less info on this forum in the future in which case people will complain and Kershaw will still go about their business as they see fit, which they should and no one will be the wiser as far as when and where the first shipments of the next new model go to.

Oh they're pissed are they? I'm an 800# away and am all ears. Have em call me.

Guess I learned another lesson on posting. Couple more and there won't be any need for me to be here anymore.
