Glad she arrived before the weekend. Big thanks to Kershawguy for all he does and super fast shipping. Glad I was early on his list.
These KVT bearings are the bomb. All folders should be this smooth and effortless. Awesome job Thomas and KAI for bringing this fantastic piece of work to us knife dorks.
We need ya here Thomas!:D Some folks just speak about things that are not their "business" or concern.
Congrats! Great pics of a beautiful knife.
Less than one hour from my home is a small town with an unusual 'greetings' sign.
'Welcome To Hartford,KY.
Home Of 2000 Happy People....And A Few Soreheads.'
Not over that way much, but will try to take a picture, next time.

HTH, Thomas W. Please stick around; this place just wouldn't be the same without you!
Really don't care if the first twenty million ZT/H Flippers went to thumbless aliens, as long as you make enough for me to own one in each color, and my friends here to buy some, too.
Years ago, when I worked in the R&D group a major computer maker in Cupertino, CA., we were told not to discuss any new products outside the office. There are "ears" planted in restaurants, bars (especially) and anywhere that employees would gather.
It was a form of high tech espionage on a very low tech level. You could be having a beer and some guy/woman would strike up a conversation and sooner or later questions would get narrowed to new products.
I was surprised how this new product got revealed many months before release and the frenzy it's caused is proof of that. I mean, product drawings were posted and that was unheard of in my profession.
Yes, I have a pre-order too but in the meantime, I see it as $260 bucks or so that I have until I get an e-mail.
Can't believe that "overseas first" stuff is being brought back up when we here in the US are finally getting our goodies. Why re-hash old sores?
I mean in my mind it never happened as long as I got mine.
I'd start hanging around in bars in Tualatin but I think Thomas will soon have enough Jameson stock piled in his office to inebriate the entire staff for years to come!
The best best is probably at Cinetopia a short hop up 99W from KAI-USA. It looks like they've got four special machines to put Thomas in a good mood including a Lord of the Rings.
I just got an email from my dealer. ZT0561 order has been charged and is processing now! I can't wait! Hopefully I'll have it by the end of next week.
Same as above! gonna see a tan/dark earth 561 arrive at my door this week. :D
They canceled my order. Looks like more waiting for me...
Everything is ebok Thomas!
Just finished up the 2012 International catalog (5 languages this year!!). Looking for approval to send it out to our overseas dealer base. mystro, appreciate if you ask your dealer for me as well please. Don't want to again anger them.
I'm sorry, but it's crap that the international thing is still getting cried about. Kai, being a foreign company, it's pretty insane for people to think that it has to be here first and that there is something wrong with the international obligations being taken care of first is a bad thing.
In some places, made in the USA goods are still a hot commodity. Remember what Levis were worth overseas?
My preorder was refunded today, the dealer isn't getting anything from the first batch and that's life. I pmed kershawguy months ago asking if it was too late to preorder and never got a response from him. Maybe because I've never ordered from him? O well.
I'll get one when I get one. I have other knives, responsibilities, etc to worry about some of these going overseas first, or that I didn't get a preorder in early enough. It's still just a knife, all that came out of this crying was a lesson learned and a loss of a lot of information on what will be coming down the pipeline.
Visited BladeHQ today, they said they had gotten 30 561's yesterday and sent them out, and 30 560's today and were in the process of sending them out, but let me look at one, (preordered from a different place, not sure where I am on the list) but wow, amazingly light for the size and how beefy it looks, super smooth too, and very grippy, really looking forward to this one, although I'm kinda of on the fence again about 560 or 561, oh well which ever comes up first is fine with me.
I got my 0560 today (an hour ago) and it's as flawless as any production knife can be. Huge thanks to Zero Tolerance and kershawguy for magically fast shipping. I got a tracking number about one hour after getting the emailt o pay up. Amazing knife and amazing service.
Thomas, thanks for putting up with us and at least me since I can only speak for myself.
I couldn't be happier.
Pictures will be posted tomorrow :D
Anyone have someone making a scale for it yet?
