I'm so stoked about this knife I've been following the thread. Can't wait to get on the pre-order for this one!! I'm ok with s30v but I'm hoping for something maybe a little better.

with rick as a designer it's gotta be better than s30v. I'm leaning towards vanax but the 551 is is vanax 35, so I would think they might go one more step up the awesome ladder but what that step would be I don't know.

It looks like a big folder shaping up. Call me crazy but that dimpled shiny finish would looks so much nicer (to me) if it was flat stonewashed. I still want one though! ;)

Okay, these look great!
I was really hoping for a smooth lock-side like the 551, in order not to SHRED the pockets like my 301, but the texturing is certainly not a deal breaker.
Plus, it is so damned pretty!

thanks for the new pics! Theres another expensive knife i've almost bought recently but i've been holding off in hopes this new ZT would have texturing!
Woohoo! Glad i waited!!!!!!!!! Now that money goes in a can til the ZT flipper comes out!

I don't think the texture is going to be a pocket eater - it's grippy but not sharp.
