some interest was shown in regards to having a separate forum for kitchen cutlery in the Knifemaker's section of the Exchange. The thought is there will be more kitchen cutlery offerings as they won't get swallowed up with all the other fixed blade sale threads. Some are also of the opinion this could help fill the void of both discussion and sales of kitchen cutlery on this forum.

I think a separate forum for kitchen knife sales would be beneficial to both the makers and the buyers.
I know I would sure be visiting it a lot.

I think the idea would be to try and build traffic.

There is a lot more going on in kitchen cutlery these days
(with the internet) than there was a few years ago.

I've always been surprised by the dearth of discussion on this knife site regarding
the types of knives that are most purchased and used by regular people.

Any updates on this? BFC is already the biggest knife forum and I'm willing to bet that there would be a huge following when word gets out. Have you seen how much they charge knifemakers to sell on the kitchen knife forum? They still sell like hotcakes over there. I think the forum would do well to have its own kitchen knife for sale area. It's worth a shot, isn't it?

Spark, if we never try it, we'll never know if it will succeed or not. If it gets no traffic after 6-8 months, it can be merged with one of the other Exchange areas.
