I didn't count Biden's interruptions myself (or Ryan's) but I've heard numbers that run from the 80's to high 90's. As you've admitted to only watching the last 5 minutes of the debate, your position to analyse is less than stellar. I watched Biden interrupt and laugh, roll his eyes, and chortle for the entire debate. I think it was Ryan who said "I think people would be better served if we don't interrupt each other," and not Biden wasn't it?
Pro 26:4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
Pro 26:5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.
That wasn't me. I watched the whole thing. Twice. And while Biden did interrupt, Ryan did also. It's just another tactic.
There is, however, a more important point here. All anyone is talking about is the behavior of the debaters. No one seems interested in what they had to say. Obama looked down at his paper too much. Romney smiled the whole time. Biden was rude. Ryan looked young and handsome. On facts and numbers(real ones) Biden took Ryan to school. Ryan had nothing, just the same old republican talking points they used at the convention to whip you guys into a frenzy. The most detail he went into was saying they had a five point plan. And the whole "if we didn't interrupt each other" comment sounded like, "MOM, tell him to quit it!"
You calling anyone out for trolling is rich. I don't think Biden looked at all like a buffoon. It looked to me like the frustration of an elder statesman who is tired of the lies and disinformation coming from the GOP for the last five years.Originally Posted by the triton

I honestly don't think he is crazy, though one might well come to that conclusion from his "performance" in the debate. No, I think he was working from a strategy which he and his runningmate had worked up for that debate. IMHO, O'bama never dreamed that Biden was such a poor actor and rather than using subtile expressions and cues to appear dismissive and incredulous at his opponent's statements, he came off as a junior high school actor trying to play Jim Carey. I was actually embarrassed for the country by his buffonery. I can only imagine the President's facepalm. In fact, I imagine a room packed with his staff all doing double facepalms in support of O'bama's facepalm.
I was actually musing how a real actor might have pulled off Biden's script. Naturally Ronald Reagan came to mind. I can imagine him pulling it off and not appearing to be a clown. By subtilty. Head tilts. Eyebrow shifts. Sly smiles. A master thespian Biden is not.
As is sniggering and maniacal laughter? Really?
Really? Which ones? You mean like when he told us about how he voted against the war that he actually voted for?
You and the folks at msnbc might be the only ones that think that.
Elder statesman? Don't you mean crazy uncle joey? If that's the "gravitas" that an elder statesman has these days then we are more pathetic then I thought.

Actually when you think about it, if that's the best the liberal media can come up with, Romney must be pretty squeaky clean. I was expecting another Herman Cain type of scandal from another professional victim who claimed to be raped by Romeny and couldn't get an abortion for her half-black child due to Romney's policies...somehow.

In order to make a better society, first you must make a better person.
This isn't going to help the Romney/Ryan campaign.

Pity that update never made it up to the headlines.UPDATE: The Vinidicator, in Youngstown, reports that according to Juanita Sherba, the coordinator who gave Ryan permission to come to the soup kitchen, Ryan did wash dirty dishes while he was there. The newspaper reports that Ryan's staff asked volunteers "to leave some pots and pans unwashed so the VP nominee and his family could do something when he arrived."
"We had to save dishes," she said. "We would have gone home by the time he arrived. We didn't need him to do the dishes. It was getting late, and I said that we were closing in five minutes. I waited longer than that, and he finally arrived."
Sherba expressed regret that she had allowed the visit to take place.
"It was the phoniest piece of baloney I've ever been associated with," she said. "In hindsight, I would have never let him in the door."

It did. It was added to the original story as soon as it came to light. That's the source for the quote I chose.
The original reporter being biased doesn't change the facts of the story. His team came into an already clean kitchen(against the policy of the establishment, I might add) and set up a "phony baloney" photo op. Apparently he's just too busy to actually volunteer, even for just an hour of two. If anyone thinks it's not a big deal, perhaps they should volunteer more often. Oh, I forgot -- he's a public servant.
Personally, I thought he and his wife looked great in their brand new, still-creased-from-the-packaging aprons.

What! Be an accomplice in giving lazy moochers free food? Then they'll come back the next day and he'll have to volunteer again and so the vicious circle perpetuates itself.
Romney also gate-crashed a shelter once ... his servants started washing and cleaning the place too.![]()
