Wow!!! Because Ohio State is ineligible, there are ZERO Big 10 teams in the top 25. If not a first, that has got to be pretty freaking rare!!! The SEC and Big 12 have 7 each!!!!! I am a little surprised to see Florida at number 2 just because there always seem to be a goodly number of voters out west who want to overrate the Pac 12 team de jour so I was expecting Oregon to get the nod and to be perfectly honest, I don't know if Florida is that good at this point in the season.

The Big 10 has been in decline for years. Heck, Ohio State ought to have a hard time in the BCS rankings based upon strength of schedule (or lack thereof) with their in conference schedule alone...

Two Big 10 teams in the latest BCS rankings, but the computers are apparently not nearly as impressed with the Pac 12 as the voters. Oregon is still #2 in both "human" polls but dropped to #4 behind K State in the BCS. I heard that Florida may be #1 on the computer rankings, but not by much and Bama is #1 across the board on the polls.

I suspect that if Alabama wins out that it will be in the championship game. The only real question is if there are several other undefeated teams who will be there playing them? My guess at the moment is Notre Dame if they win out.

I completely agree that the Big 10 has been declining in competitiveness compared to other conferences, but I think this has been a comeback year for us (the Big 10). I think most of the teams offenses are looking better this particular season that in the past, and it appears to me that they're picking up speed.
The two best Big 10 teams, in my opinion, will be playing this weekend in the Ineligibowl, Ohio State @ Penn State. I highly recommend y'all watch it if you can.

Ohio State has Meyer and that should be worth something if he doesn't wig out again. Unfortunately Penn State has a mess and I don't know when they will be able to get out of it. How have you guys been doing this season? Sorry, I haven't been keeping track, since the first 3. If you have been doing well despite the mess up there that does indeed say good things about the future of the program. Few other programs could have survived such a debacle.

Penn State lost their first two games to Ohio and Virginia unfortunately. But since, they've showed what I think to be great improvement and have been winning by increasing margins. The quarterback, McGloin has been improving quickly. We have a plethora of decent tailbacks but nothing quite like Redd last year. The defense is pretty solid.
    Could use a kicker though...
