I'm not going to tell you guys where, but I have recently stumbled across some pretty sweet knives for sale/trade...A Camillus BK101 and BK91... They are the desert series. So they have the tan blade and tan handles. They are both brand new in box, but the BK101 has a small manufactures defect(shown in pic below)
I am very interested in picking both of these knives up but I would like to know how much you guys/gals think each of these knives would be worth. I am asking this because he/she doesn't have a price tag on these he/she is just telling everyone to throw a offer out there.

    Here's the pics:
    BK91:

I really appreciate the help in advance.
    Thanks.

Its really subjective, as far as cost. Are they worth more? Perhaps to someone that wants to pay more.

The BK101 is probably the most rare of the bunch.

My thoughts on the BKT Desert series, are they are not worth what some folks are paying for them. The handles are painted, and the blade coating is pretty much the same, epoxy painted.

As for asking the price, you can't really ask that since you are not a gold member. I do apologize, but that is BFC rules, and membership has its privileges.

I would say, don't spend too much on them, unless you are looking to increase your collection, but if you are wanting users, look to the new blade pricing as a guide.

Oh, and the BK10 will be coming back into the normal production line.

Its confirmed, with the man himself. Toooj, that is.

Oh, and the BK1 and BK6 got nixed as well. Ya'll wouldn't have liked the price anyways, too much time to get the grinds done. No one wants a $200 production Becker, or, at least that's what most feel anyways.

I would happily pay 200 for a new patrol machete. The Brute I can live without. That sucks, Now I need to go find another 6 as a backup.

The desert ones, well they are ugly and have a bad paint job. Fine from a collectors point, for a user I would pick something else.

Do you guys think a LNIB Spyderco Delica 4 and a NIB Spyderco UKPK would be a fair trade for the BK101.
I don't know if this would even be a fair trade. By that I mean, like am I giving him too much or too less????
    Thanks,
    Zach

I think that would be a fair trade, unless you really like that Delica or UKPK. Price wise I would say you are in the ball park.

Reading that was like getting kicked in the nuts for the first time, again.

Glad I just picked up a Junglas. To help with the pain.

Stoked to hear the BK10 is on the way, I was starting to look around for a close substitute.

Sucks the BK6 is dead. Now to look around for a close substitute...

Don't really care about the BK1

during unpacking, i found the two NIB patrol machetes i was hoarding. sweet. that leaves one as a user, and alas, i sold one to someone WHO WOULD NOT SHUDDUP and gave one away. seemed like there were plenty at one point, and now? not so much

brutes? got a few had more. put away. prefer the 9 and the 4 anyday...

now the 10, that's handy. got one of them in several places; that or the 2, those are stupid handy.

as for the desert series, if you are a collector, and HAVE TO HAVE, well, priceless? i don't own any (though i do own handles)... i figure they're worth about the cost of a can of tan spray paint. a proper knife ceracoated would be worth more imho. but that's me.

lots of interesting models. can't wait for a 10? buy a 12, i mean a Ritter Perseverance - available and worth the price

    but just buy buy buy!
