Joe P, what a great thread! Sorry I am late to the fun, but have been parked out on the Left Coast for awhile. Here are the two that I would head out the door with, one on my right, the other on my left. Thanks to Don and John, I would feel safe.

And, in case a Zombie head gets in the way, strap the Core Fighter on my back.

What fun, and I haven't even made it through the whole thread, yet.

Joe R - that's some zombie slaying with bonus style points. If I wanted to be all upscale in my mayhem, I might go the Hanson route as well. Sometimes a 12" blade is just so..... right.

And this Stuart Branson piece offers a good deal of reach as well:

Finally, the dropped handle of this Burt Foster piece adds a lot of power to what was already a fast blade:

    Wow! Great stuff!!!

I've made a couple that I think would work.

One of these in each hand

    I quite liked this one.

But probably I would take this, that is until I finish my katana.

Roger, that 12-inch Hanson blade would do some damage! I think Stuart has a few that would work, too!

    Love your work, Stuart.

Stuart - love that first blade. Very elegant (why not kill zombies in style?).

I just received this "End of Days" "Long Tanto" from Kelly Ward (Hard Edge Knives) and this is one beast of a cutter. It's so sharp I feel a little sick when I gingerly test it with my finger... Sharp Edge Knife!! 12in blade, 1/4" 1095 carbon, 17.5 OA.
    Thanks Kelly!!

Joe, this thread started making me nervous! I had a hard time sleeping, every little noise made me sit up in bed and pull the covers up over my face. I kept sending my wife out to check what the source of the noise was. I decided enough was enough, I made a phone call and look what showed up in the mail today!

Now I have this for my better half to go take care of the Bumps that go Bump in the night!

WOW! You guys have some awesome knives and short swords!! I would be affraid to get them dirty!!

I would have to grab my Robert Carter Field Tank. It is the biggest knife I own now. Although a little less than 10" OL - It will do the trick!! Not quite as fancy as some knives posted in this thread.
