ZT 0777 - KAI customer service email

So I got an email from a friend who was in the hunt for a 0777, but unable to secure a preorder.

Long story short, he asked if I could help him out with one of my preorders and told me that a rep had told him they were due to ship soon. I replied saying that I hadn't heard anything in a while, nor did any of the preorder dealers contact me. He forwards me this email, which gives me a few questions.

Anyhow, according to Sarah below, the knives are to be shipped at the end of the week (note her reply came on the 29th of October)

Any official word on this? Anyone here on the preorder lists get any updates?

[redacted]- Yes we do offer a Military discount of 50% of our Kershaw line through a site called promotive.com, unfortunately we do not offer a discount on our ZT line at this time. You can register for Free and have access to other brands as well as ours! To Register just visit www.promotive.com and scroll down to the bottom of the first page and click on the orange link that says “View all Teams”. Scroll through all the teams until you see the one that applies to you (i.e. Military, Law Enforcement etc.) and click to apply. Once you’re approved, you can create an order for Kershaw and we can process your order for you at a discount with your CC. Feel free to share this with anyone else who would be interested.



If you are looking at purchasing a ZT knife, my best suggestion would be to check out some of our online dealers! I have listed a few online dealers below that I know that carry the ZT line below and I believe some of them offer an additional discount for Military/ Law Enforcement, but you will have to contact them to be sure. If you are wanting to place an order with us, you can but the price would be set at the full MSRP which is more expensive than what you would find through a dealer or retail store. Please feel free to call the number located below if you have questions or if you would like to place an order directly through us.



Unfortunately if you are look at purchasing a ZT 0777 you will have to look online for any dealers who are taking pre-orders for this model. It will be a hard search since it’s been about a year since pre-orders have been available and with only 1000 pieces being produced. Great news is that the ZT 0777 is planned to begin shipping out to dealers by the end of this week for the first time! If no dealers are taking any pre-orders my next best suggestion would be to look through blade forums or second hand seller once the 077 doe ship out. This is the official word on this:

We have been assembling 0777's all this week. I don't have details on when or where they will ship. I would have posted about this sooner, but I didn't want to whip people into a frenzy. We will continue to ramp up production on these, but it will still take some time to get them assembled. I will get some pics up soon though.

As with all limited production items, we will have EXTREMELY limited (if any) spare parts. If it's something we can fix, we will. Otherwise, if it's a manufacturer's defect, we can give you the value of the knife in a voucher to use toward another product. It's unlikely we will ever be able to completely replace it, since we will not have spares on hand.
