Case Tony Bose Small Saddlehorn Prototype issue, 3 1/2" closed, with beautiful Amboyna wood scales, fluted nickel silver bolsters, and the special Case XX Case Select shield.

This is a Prototype of what was later to be released as a Case Select Tony Bose Small Saddlehorn. This knife is stamped on the master Clip blade with Case XX with 5 X's and 1 Dot, dating this as a 2004 issue Case knife, and is pattern stamped on the Skinner blade with USA T.B. 62110 SS. The mid inside brass liner has the factory official Prototype engraving, as it has the Case Long Tail C and reads "PROTO". There's no way to clearly photograph this, if I could, I certainly would have. It is easily seen when you look for it.

Please be sure to see the Supersize Photos as this is the EXACT knife.

The way this knife was actually issued when put into production was like this: the master Clip blade was stamped on the front tang with Case XX Select and the Skinner blade was pattern stamped on the front tang with USA T.B. 72110 SS. Since this is a genuine Case Factory Prototype, the tang stamping and pattern stamp are completely different from the way the knife was actually issued. Plus, when put into production, the pins and liners on the Case Select Amboyna Small Saddlehorn were composed of nickel silver, this Prototype model has brass pins and liners.

This spectacular Case Tony Bose Amboyna Small Saddlehorn Prototype is in mint condition in the Case XX factory presentation box. $399 OBO
