I have been wanting a dagger that was small enough to conveniently carry for some time. Seeing as how I make a lot of fixed blades in carriable sizes, as in my pocket cutlass and edc, this is not surprising. In addition, this past Fall I picked up a new way of killing time in the outdoors, falconry. Having gotten into the sport I wanted to make a falconry knife and I thought that a dagger if left unsharpened or at least dulled would work well for dispatching game if necessary. The reasoning for leaving it unsharpened or dulling it is to prevent injuring your hawk if it decides to grab the knife. So, with that in mind I designed a dagger. And since falconry season is over until Fall I went ahead and sharpened mine as well.
