I believe the limit is 2.5 inches. Boston passed the ordinance after 9/11 when one of the councilmen succeeded in pushing through an ordinance he had been touting for a while. I'm swallowing the urge to make some comment on this ordinance........
I would like to know the knife laws in Cambridge MA or Boston ...
Thank you

Oh my God, so I can´t have my BM31 ( balisong ) and my Leatherman Wave there ?
Can you give me some options with this blade size ?
Thank you.
Salsa.
It is a pretty stupid law, and technically makes purchasing any larger knife in boston illegal, the police should stand outside Stoddards and score some CR sebenzas and some really nice customs.
Balisongs are illegal in most states in the USA, either specifically prohibited by name or under the prohibition on knives that open by gravity or centrigugal force. Edited to add: I plan to buy a Spyderco Dodo for carry in places such as Boston, because the handle is large and fills the hand, the locking mechanism and blade are sturdy, yet the blade's length is short, and it has the Spyderco hole, which is my accustomed method of opening a folder.
