Here's my first kitchen knife. I wanted to post it before I put the handle on. If you're interested send me an email with your choice of material and I'll handle the knife. EDIT; I'll post pics of the final piece later...
Blade length 6.25", thickness .110", width 1.5", semi forged 52100 (only profile and tang), single bevel. This is not the final finish, just out of HT. The blade will get a semi polish.

Just my two cents worth, but if it were me buying a kitchen knife I'd choose micarta or corian over wood, African Blackwood is beautiful but I'd kinda feel bad getting dish detergent on it.......
