    SCHRADE+
    U.S.A. LB7

S/N is 9106 I believe but it also reads 9016 if read with the open blade pointed to the left! Just the fact that the serial number can be read either way and reads fine is interesting. The 1 is stamped as a straight vertical line and the 9 and 6 look identical except for orientation. Just for giggles my house address number is 1001 which reads the same in both directions and whether read right side up or upside down!
That's "9106" then. Read serial when oriented as in pic below, serial AA65958. Your's is an early example for sure. Cool knife. Enjoy!

Very COOL serial number. Just for more giggles, spell "racecar" backwards.

My dad and I each got a LB7 for Christmas back in the early to mid 80's. He put them up in his gun cabinet and they sat for the last 30 years. I just picked them up from mom and gave the brass a good polish.

Both are 4 pin, still in the original boxes with paperwork.

    Thanks!

Sort of. I had a couple hundred pocket knives I collected as a kid. I picked them up from my mom's about 4 years ago and a few of them rusted and the scales were ruined. I picked out a few special ones then cleaned up the other and sold them. I'd rather other people enjoy them instead of the rotting away.

Here are few pictures I uploaded awhile back http://www.flickr.com/photos/24590210@N08/

Yeah dad's been gone for quite awhile now. I gave my son the first knife he bought me and gave my daughter the first one I bought. Then I kept a few that I could tell dad carried and a set that my uncle gave me.

Very nice knives you have. And very good pictures of the knives. I really like the Frontiers as I have collection of over 100 Frontiers.
