OK so a ways back I posted about a knife I was dreaming about,a stockman,by Reese with a warny & pen secondary blades, and a clip main blade that's outta this world,in a shadow pattern, though.A few said the stockman don't look right w/ no bolsters,in thier opinions. So the other morning I was drooling over this & invisioning it in jigged black micarta instead of the real deal bone.
So,ponder it with me,whatta ya think ? I got plenty of time, they're telling me

Vince, I think thats a good idea.
Vince-go for it, I'd get it with bolsters though....Tony
Hi Vince - Really nice idea but it would have to be in "killer" ivory (plain, not jigged) to float my boat. But then, you know what an ivory "slut" I am.
Colin.
Vince, Sounds great but i agree with jivedaddy, i'd want to keep the bolsters on that pattern.
Absolutely,this is my vision,bolsters & shield.But black jigged micarta.
Thats all I do these days is think up patterns & material combinations.
If Tony or Reese made any knife, they'd think I'd like,I'd like it,I'm sure.
That DE cattle stockman is a real nice one, look at those blades! would ya'!
-Vince
Vince, all I know is that speyish, recurved clipped 3rd blade is the only one quite like it I have ever seen.
Does the Wilfred camp have an official name for that pattern of blade? Awesome knife ( and I dig the pulls all on the mark side).

Vince-jigged micarta would be a terrific choice for that knife-I'd do it in a heartbeat-micarta is fast becoming a "traditional" handle material choice, as evidence of all the great knives posted on this forum(although that Remington bone is hard to beat)
Yeah,I think they call it the "A$$ kickin' clip secondary" blade.
I dig the other, too, its like a sheepfoot warny hybrid
I agree, most who would go the route, the wait, order that pattern, they'd go Bone, wood, ivory, and some said stag ,would be a harder accomplishment for the knifemaker, (although I think they can handle it),but I like those synthetics for the EDC insurance policy.
But after thinking on the stockman shadow & then thinking on this pattern,no doubt, with those bolsters like that, they need to be there
Allright,enough of my ramblings.

Still wish Randy would have talked to me before he got rid of this one. Always been one of my favorites
Campbell
You mean so that SWMBO can actually see how many Bose knives I own
Seriously though, the truth is a combination of still feeling a "newcomer" to this forum and, more to the truth, being a little THICKas to how to go about it! I promise that when I get my next Ivory Bose (?) I will find someone over here
to show me how to post some pics.
Colin
Colin,
If you are inclined, feel free to send me pics and I will post them where you want them.
Gus
