I need a new Dogleg Jack. Or a pruner.. Or a Panama Trapper. Or a Saddlehorn.
Maybe a Lockback Whittler.
Swayback...
I caught Reese working on another one of these yesterday. He mill relieves the liners for the lock-bar pocketso that the sides of the lock-bar you can see in the cutout doesn't get scratches on it.
. Good grief, now everyone will be doing it.
This one is covered in Case Antique Bone and stamped "3" because it's number three

Thanks for letting us enjoy all of these Kerry.

Reese's Lockback is a sweetheart!
Unusual for the shield delete on this pattern from Reese?
Thanks for sharing,

Way to watch, Ken.
As I understand it, even the old lockback saddlehorns didn't have shields due to the proximity of the lockbar pin. We were talking about that yesterday and dicussed the potential of space for a simple bar shield, but that's about it. Other shields would look crowded.
That lockback is gorgeous!

Nice, thanks for posting it Kerry. The lack of shield, does it have to do with the lock? I think the older locking saddlehorns didn't have shields as well?
Kerry already answered my question. Kerry on.
Sweetness! It looks great with no shield.

Very nice!
Wow, just wow. Thanks for sharing everyone. My Case Tribal Spear and Backpocket are jealous.
