I was lucky enough to get this one off the bay with little interest from others. It is Camillus 4 lines stamp rope knife. I was looking for one for a long time, especially in a size I can carry comfortably. This one is 3.5" closed, the ebony is great and the swedge is nice. Previous owner thought that filing the blade would be good idea and so he did. I am trying to reduce the scratches with high grade paper (1500-2500 grit).

  2. Nice rope knife, Mike.

On the Remington, a lot of the active rust came off with oil. If I carry it, I may also get rid of the rough stuff. I did smooth out the edge but I haven't gotten around to sharpening it. The blades look a bit brighter in the photo than they look in person... they're actually sort of a dull grey.

Gev. I love your rope knife the handle shows a lot pf personality. Did you put the pin where the bail was or it is original?

Its original to the knife as I received it, Mike Thanks for the compliment

  7. Nice knife! I noticed the long pull goes part way but not completely through the tang... neat!

That Remington is superb. I just love the shape of the main blade, that with the bone, shield, and unusual secondary and EO, makes that knife sing.

    Remington Pruner (R728)

Here's an old Remington Pruner (R728) 4-1/2 closed,1924-1933 Cocobolo scales. Still see blade etching,
hard snap, Full blade, Has that small nick in the blade. I'll take care of that...lol

  11. Nice Remington, Jason! It must be pruning season or something because I just got this one in todays mail.

...not sure why the blades keep on turning out so bright. Here's another angle...

Jake... Lovely knife mate, I am such a fan of the pruners, dont know why,...they just rock my boat, I think its the Era and the solid actual makings of such a knife!
I am always MOST impressed by your photos, depending on your camera whether its a SLR or a digital, try changing your settings if its a digital from auto to action etc... that Swedge is most typical of these lovely knives... just stunning, I can only imagine the rock-solid snap!!
