The truth is that everyone takes for granted that if they buy from H.I. that they will be satisfied....and rightly so.
A super quick search shows that H.I. has only about 12 posts in the g.b.u....since the beginning of H.I. on the forums!! All of them have been positive!!
Yangdu does a great job.

I've only bought one HI khukuri so far, but I can say that Yangdu provides excellent customer service at all stages of a purchase.

I know i've said it several times around the HI forum, but now that i've found this thread i realize i've been remiss.

Uncle Bill (RIP),Yangdu and Himalayan Imports not only provide an heirloom quality khukuri at fantastic prices with a great selection, they also provide 1st class ,A+1 customer service before,during and after the sale. HI is truly a top notch class act and you will be hard pressed to find a better vendor to buy your khuk's from.

I just received an incredibly unique and beautiful "GRAY HORN SCABBARD SIRUPATI BY CHAINPURI KAMI" from the 1/16 DOTD, as well as an impressive "22 inch 39 ounce Dui chirra by Vim Bhadur Kami" from the Anniversary sale on 1/21. Both shipped with the usual, extraordinary speed and care that we have come to take for granted from HI.

I must chime in.

My first experience with Yangdu and H.I. was through the mail, when I was still homeless. I wrote her a letter inquiring about the cost and availability of an M-43 model kukri. In the letter I explained my situation, I did not seek a discount or any other consideration, was just expaining why I chose that model.

I recieved a reply within days. Was given a generous discount on a knife by Bura. Which was here within days.

Since then I have purchased several other kukris and other assorted knives from H.I. Not only has the quality of the goods always been exceptional. But the service and treatment as a customer has always been beyond STELLAR. Yangdu is without a doubt one of the most honest and decent people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.

H.I has a lifetime customer with me.

This thread does not get enough attention.

I have bought 2 Khukuri's from Yangdu and could not be happier. When I got over the their forum I knew nothing. Karda and the other members over there were very helpful and put up with all of my stupid questions and Yangdu answered all of my emails. While I am not a collector but a user I may not have much need for more blades since the 2 I have will probably last a lifetime but with a business ethic like that, I'm sure I will buy more.

The awesomeness of Himalayan Imports and Yangdu in particular is just an effective and elaborate conspiracy to ensure that I'm always broke and my gf is often mad when she see's triangular boxes arrive in the mail.

I should probably just get another debit card sent to Yangdu in her name linked to my bank account. ;\

No seriously, 100% pure experience. HI can't be beat. Thank you very much Yangdu.

I have been dealing with Himalayan Imports (Yangdu) recently.
The service has been over the top.
Questions have been answered quickly and informatively.
I wish other retailers could learn from her what true customer service is really about.
H.I products speak for themselves as far a quality, but the customer service from Yangdu is what separates it from the rest.

Not too long ago I knew nothing about Himalayan Imports. I came across a couple of positive comments on the net about their products and one skeptical comment about the company. After further research I decided to start inquiring about purchasing from them and sent Yangdu an email.

Immediately from her quick and welcoming reply I knew I was in good hands and have since ordered several knives. To say it is a *pleasure* doing business with HI and Yangdu is an understatement - and it's not just the quality of the knives. It is actually fun, reassuring and rewarding to work with Yangdu. In the short time I've known the company I trust and respect them as much or more than any other company I've delt with (in person or internet). I'm looking forward to being a repeat customer as long as my wallet holds out...and even if I can't buy knives, they're still people I'd want to know and stay in touch.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Yangdu and HI. It proves that you don't need to be Amazon to offer 2 day shipping and guaranteed customer satisfaction. I don't expect that I'll ever have a problem with an order, but if I do, I know Yangdu will take care of me.

I often think Auntie Yangdu has a Stargate. The triangular goodies would arrive here, well packed and she's eager to know if you actually like it.
For guys in US, give her a buzz sometimes just to thank her. I did from the other side of globe, so could you.

I too have had dealings with Yangdu and HI. The service is outstanding and they offer a quality product. Although never meeting her I know why people refer to her as Auntie because she is personable and makes you feel welcome.

About time I added to this thread. Last year I ordered two knives from HI, and customer service was excellent. Yangdu answered all of my questions, and helped me get the exact knives I wanted. Great blades, great service.

I have recently purchased a Khukuri from Himalayan Imports. The service was outstanding. It was shipped the next day and packed carefully. I was so pleased with it that I ordered another one. This one was also shipped quickly and packed well. Throughout each transaction, the owner kept me informed. I wish all my dealings went this well. I would have no hesitation about purchasing more Khukuris.
