Ohhhh!!!, that knife is going to give his slimline trapper a challenge to be chosen when my name comes up on his list. I love the jigging on that knife as well.

I like this knife more every day. Cut up a whole bunch of potatoes for dinner. I love this blade for light food prep. Any kind of fruit, and nothing too big its a real performer. I cut an apple the first day and it gave it a patina that has just been getting better. My first run with a GEC as an EDC is going way better then I hoped.
That is a great looking GEC thats for sure!
Got my RR barlow and BM 210 fixed blade (non-trad so no pic needed) in pockets today

Thanks Robert
Carrying the 54 again, but these 73's are awfully tempting. Sorry I am so lazy in this thread with all the camera phone pics. I can't believe how addictive GEC is. I have a lot of their models now. Such a quality product and I LOVE the strong pull. Once you break them in they are sooooo smooth and still plenty strong.
Got this "Menefee Made" Pruner with me today.. Rick
did an outstanding job on this one... fun to carry.
Has an Ivory shield... Nice touch. imho!

I've been carrying this Imperial as part of the June challenge. It doesn't look quite so shiny any more.![]()
This one also came along for the ride today. Even though it didn't see any use, it was still nice to have it with me.

Thanks, I like it a lot. In fact, I've got another knife ordered from him now as well. This knife is 3 7/8" closed with 1095 steel. Gene has made some small improvements to the design since I ordered this one from him, but I'm more than happy with it the way it is.
Here is the original thread that I started with some more info and pics from when it was new. I'm sure you're going to like yours.

Been carrying this fella to work for the last six months or so and I've been looking for a reason to post in the traditionals forum again for a while.

THANKS for the response! Yes, i'm getting the 3 7/8 from him too, but i noticed the price went up from around 150 to 200 (i was looking at older posts). he said he now uses updated D2 steel and perfected the cresent nail nick and choil. His work is getting better so i wanted to jump in before it got more expensive like 300+ like a Menefee.
I've recently got into the whole traditional thing and like the "front pocket / back pocket" idea, so inevitably, i'll have to get the larger backpocket he makes WITH liners.
I'm really excited, ALL his costumers have nothing but positive things to say, I cant wait.
always in my right front pocket, sometimes watch pocket, the GEC 62 half congress in stag, brings a tear to the eye
had a smaller sleeve board that I really loved but overall too short, would LOVE to have THAT main blade on
a longer body...
