yes that is a friction folder, and the only reason the photo is like that is because photobucket wouldn't save my flipped image!

Today I put the GEC Bullnose in my pack and let this little bugger come along. I'm also carrying my Buck Vantage, but you guys don't want to hear about that.

Mid progress shots...the custom makers make this look way easier then it is. Had to sand everything but the lows to get it looking decent. Still need to oil and buff. I have no idea if I'm doin this right but its looking better.

This guy, Kardas on the bernard levine subforum helped me identify this beauty as a Camillus #51B, I love this barlow, after cutting up a bunch of cardboard today I didn't even have to touch up the blade, it's got a nice polish form the cardboard and still stayed sharp

today i wanted to try out an experiment and took my buck 309 to work with me in the warehouse
wasnt sure if it was going to do the job, but to nobody's surprise but mine (i'm guessing) it did just fine.

gotta take a second to think about what your cutting and how your going to cut it, cant just hack at the pallet ties willy nilly.
but if you take that second and think about the best way to cut it, this worked just fine

still leaning towards either a 303 or a 301, thinking that would be pretty darn perfect for me and the job, but its good to know this will do it if needed

Those pallet ties need a strong blade or they're thick enough to snap a blade, haha I did a number on a much bigger knife with one of those, if you like the Buck 309 have you looked at the 307? its a bigger thicker model and could definatly take the abuse.

lol its a buck, i doubt i would break it ..unless i did something REALLY stupid with it
besides, bucks got a great warranty :P

not really considered the 307, but i have been considering a 301
