Ok...the time has come. I've done as much revising to this that I think can be done.
It's been tested ad nauseum....beat to death and proven worthy of production. ~~~~~~~~
Here we go!

I am shooting for January on these.

Here are some updates:

I am waiting for the rest of the steel to be ready. As of today, they are telling me it will be done on the 19th of Nov. Then it gets cut and sent to me. Then everything goes to the CNC company - about 3 weeks turnaround. After it comes back to me...I've got blade finish work, glue-up, handle shaping and finishing to do...probably about 4 weeks worth of time. So, I am expecting these to be ready toward the end of January.

You are "shooting for January on these", the end of January it seems.
11 December will be 21 weeks.
Are you on target as far as you can tell for the end of January ?

Yes, I am on target for the end of January.



I have put this on the Backburner because I was waiting for more steel to arrive...I got the notice on Friday that it was ready. So, I'll be having it sent to the Waterjet guy this week...add a couple weeks for that to arrive at the CNC guys...and a couple more weeks for that to get finished...and we are now mid-January. I will probably drop everything once they are in and get right on these. handle material will already be cut...just have to glue-up, shape and finish. Probably 2-3 weeks tops. So, end of Jan, early Feb at latest.

That is the plan so far.




I'll be updating the list today - for those waiting...keep the hope up!



I'm also going to close up pre-orders on the 3V blades...or else I'll have to order steel and wait again........

Good to know. Will JRE Industries have one to make sheaths from? I loved the sheath in the pass-around.

I'm also looking to switch my handle material from BLACK to GREEN canvas micarta. The Bushcraft I just got has some nice green scales and I think I want to match them together.

I'll be sure to bug you about this nitpicky change later as you get closer to gluing up the slabs.
