I haven't taken the RR plunge yet. But I did buy some Frost Cutlery slipjoints a while back to really check them out. I did hand pick them, but I noticed that they generally have weak springs. My favorite is a Ocoee River Sunfish, but their Fish Knife is pretty interesting and not too bad. The other one or two are pretty much duds and they have been dumped into the black hole storage box I keep knives that are still in the box.

I got a few and they were ok. For the price they were good. I gave two to my brother who does gutter work and apparently they have been holding up decently well.

Recently got a Small Congress (3.25") in Red Bone. Very pleased actually despite the fact that the Congress is not a favoured knife of mine. In this small size with bar shield it looks good and is unobtrusive, a bit too unobtrusive in fact...was rummaging in my pocket for coins and dropped it on the tiled floor. Bone crack (small but there!) Only had it a week too. Ah well, at their decent price it's no tragedy. RR quality seems to be improving each time I get one, or am I just lucky? These knives are serious value.

I like this knife and I was impressed with the quality - it's a really nicely made knife - and it is pretty large as well!

Looking to try out a Wharncliffe blade, but most traditional knives I see with a wharncliffe are on the pricey side ($50+). Does Rough Rider have any models with a wharncliffe? or just sheepsfoot? thanks

I love my Rough Riders. So far I have a Scout, Canoe in gun stock, Barlow in gun stock and an elephant's toe nail in tortoise shell. Value packed blades for sure!

I have no idea. The knife came without any markings. The only text "F59" was on its box.

Yes, it came that way. Quite impressive considering its price.

Goat Horn? Where are these made then? By the look of the knife, it's an interesting and very decent pattern. They're in the RR price-bracket?

I'm not sure where they're made, but they're definitely imported, as they mention international shipping to the U.S.

Oh, also they are in the Rough Rider price bracket. I found them by doing an image search in Google.

I'm not really a fan of "Lady Leg" knives, but this Large Lady Leg is pretty sleek, I like the shape of the blade, and it has a nice swedge. It's five inches long, closed.

still cant knock my lil RR Barlow
after carrying this awhile, its been putting many of my more expensive knives to shame.

i am looking for an American made model with carbon steel blades thats at least as good...and i havent found one yet, even for 4 (or more) times the price





I've even carried this guy to work with me over the last week or so in a warehouse environment and its holding up great ...i can't complain, cant complain at all
