Well, let's see if we can't list a few models, with pictures, old and new, to compare things, and make things interesting...

    BK&T No Number Reinhardt Kukri:

BK01 - Brutes - both of these have seen some love, though they don't show it a lot, tough guys, to be sure... Top one is recent Camillus with the desert tan handles. I may skin this one and have wood furniture put on someday. The lower one is an original model, sandblast texture, and is VERY nice. I'd buy more of either if I could find them. Wow.

BK02 - Campanion - CAMP-anion (not COMPanion ;>) - tough guys. Very tough. Several variants here... Left to Right we have: "SG" model - serrated, very nasty; "sterile" (no marking/id) epoxy-like coat; last generation Camillus standard with the optional micarta scales; nice and old original model, phosphate finish irc - sweet, and ye standard Camillus with standard handles.

BK03 - TacTool, TacTul, DiveTul, DivTool... Various names over the years, and quite a few models and variants prior to Camillus - Only one type of which I have - how'd that happen? Now we have a Ka-Bar version too. Earlier models had various doo-dads, nail-pullers, shapes, materials... I'll be posting old literature which lists these [soon!]

BK04 - see next section - my specialty!

BK05 - Magnum Camp (Design by Jerry Fisk) - Now that's a knife! Once again, old and new, new and old... The top model is an oldy but goody. Despite a few steaks, this guy hasn't marked up. The bottom model is a recent last of its kind find from Camillus.

BK06 - Patrol Machete - One of Ethan's favorites, he's pictured with it here and there. Evil man :> These have seen some "combat" in the back 40. Was afraid i broke one chopping hemlock - those draw *sparks*. Scared me good!

BK07 - Two variants, the "SG" serrated model, and the regular issue. One of these days, some nice person will sell me a BK071 desert model, and maybe a nicer person will provide the happiness that only a BK077 EXTREME model will provide. Maybe? Another 20 years will tell.

BK08 - Ah, the lengendary skipped number model. Only what? *5* made? Yeah, I wish this was my picture! Beware copycats!!!

Bk09 - Combat Bowie - Well well well. The big chopper in town... Top one is the current Ka-Bar offering with the freebie BK13. The middle guy is by Camilus and is my pedestrian user, and the bottom one is the Camillus backup I grabbed while the grabbing was grabful. The next photo will show a comparison of the slightly thicker Camillus vs the slightly thinner Ka-Bar - it's nothing to be concerned about, really! Other variant of the BK09 include a BK091 desert model, and a BK09HH - Hog Hunter, the false edge is sharpened - I thought this was a bit much, so never grabbed one - hah.

BK10 - Crewman's Utility - Now, I love me my Campanions a lot, but these guys are nifty in that they are a bit lighter, bit thinner, and that's a fine option if you need that, and aren't in mind of field stripping a Buick Guess which one has the polished convex edge? There also exists a BK101 desert model. Haven't seen one of those yet.

    BK-13 - Becker Necker - I believe these are covered quite well here: "Becker's Neckers - BK11, BK11CSM, BK13, BK??" http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=608725 but just for picture's sake:

and now me froods, the champion of champion Becker Knifes, imho:

BK04 - MachAx - Top to Bottom: Camillus; CinCin Warrior - A nifty variant - false edge is sharpened!, MachAx #1 (my first - awww), Goldy - not sure what it's coated with, but it's slighty gold looking - Titanium dip?, Blued - original model, blued/blackened prior to my getting it, "sterile" (no markings) epoxy-like coating - this one also has a rather peculiar grind to it - mmmm.

    Behold, the old ones: Worship!

    The VERY pre-Camillus shot:

Camera read original (rare!) MachAx literature recently founds in the tombs! This thing is larger than my scanner bed, so I had to take a hi-rez picture of it, best i could...

Speaking of literature... My next phase of project is to be scanning all of THIS for you hungry guys'n'gals (we have Becker Girls?) Scope out the upper-left advert in this first picture, look ... familiar?

    whew!

Here's a better pic of the BK9HH "Hog Hunter".

Looks a bit more menacing on the business end eh?

BK12 / RSK Mk2 by Camillus. Prototypes only, not sure how many total with minor variations, certianly fewer than a dozen. Was just getting ready to order blade stamps to enter production when Camillus went under.

    BK12 / RSK Mk2 with BK2 Campanion (below) and BK10 Crewman (top):

The BK 7 was actually named the C/U 7, standing for Combat Utility. It was always popularly referred to as a BK7, but that model number actually doesn't/didn't exist.

I understand your point about the name, but I'm not so sure that the model number doesn't/didn't exist.

    From the old Camillus website:

    From an actual BK-7 box:

    And the alternatives:

Good catch! I'll have to dig mine out and check it (the box). I'm pretty sure it's C/U 7 on it. I wonder when they changed that. Or if I'm getting old...

Snap a pic if you find an alternate model number. That would be interesting to know.
