    I found these shrooms growing out of some very dry dirt on the side of a logging road.
    The area is so dry that it is burning & these shrooms are growing,go figure.

    In this thread, post #332 shows how much lighter my new spike hawk is, compared to my CC/S even through both are green canvas micarta. After a few short weeks chopping up firewood in the sun followed up with a wipedown with mineral oil, you can see that the hawk is getting darker. I guess it won't take 6 months to catch up to the color of the knife scales.Two JK's.jpgAfter.jpg

    Jackhammer....your pics may get me to order the green canvas micarta on my next knife. really like how it ages. thanks for the pics.

    JK Hiker with the JK TK

    JK TK v2.0 with it's maple burl friends , this one came out a lot lighter, but it'll probably darken up in the passaround
