My company doesn't allow "large knives". It's a good thing I only carry little ones.

Since my son in law carries one of my Field Bowies, that makes two of you guys, working for the same company, that carry my knives.

By the way, the Gerber Command II in that pic will be going up for auction soon, my contribution to Hanna.

JK Belt Hawk and "naked guard, square butt" Kephart HD

I figured the Belt Hawk needed a partner. Here is the pair. The handles are oak.

JK Hunter's Hawk and Improved Bowie

Here is another combo. I took these photos during an outing to put up deer portable deer stands and do a little grouse hunting.

The combo on my vest after a little workout.
JK Hunters Hawk and Improved Bowie - On Vest.jpg

The JK Hunter's Hawk tucked perfectly into the side pocket of the vest, which worked great for climbing up the portable stands and clearing branches. The Improved Bowie hung out on my belt.

    A perfect pair for me.

wow shayman. quite simple, but also quite unique. i like it. thanks for the pic.

    what's the wood?

  18. #438
It's oak. I gave it a light coating of boiled linseed oil just before the photo shoot.

(I just updated the post above to mention the oak)
