I purchased a Vision X-Ray last month at the SOG Factory Sale -- according to above, it is made in Japan. Is just the blade made in Japan and the knife assembled in Washington, or is the knife made complete in Japan?

Just curious -- it is a great knife that I plan on carrying everyday for quite some time.

    Thanks!

If I'm not wrong the Flash II is made in USA and the X-Ray vision is made in Seki Japan.

I think any folders with VG10 blades are made in Japan. After all, that is a Japanese steel.

Who cares as long as it isn't China or Pakistan. Actually I dont worry about China anymore as long as the Factory is set up there and we sent a bunch of guys to oversee it.

When China tries to copy something, they usually do a less than adequate job but when we set up their factories and show'm how its done, there as good as anyone IMHO.

I just looked at the 'Sog Japan-made knives' page and I was struck by a pang of regret for passing up the Tsunami when I had a chance to buy it. Also I wish the old style Tigershark was still around.
Well, I guess as my wife keeps saying; 'you can't buy everything and there will always be something new coming along that you'll want'
Speaking of new; I'm definitely looking forward to the new fixed blade Swedges.

Seki Japan, if you're talking about the Vietnam-era knives.

No complaints on the seki-city stuff. Can't knock their heritage with blades. Am happy with my vulcan tanto with laminated steel. Other than that I'd rather stick to USA.

How did you get a hold of the Scuba/Demo if you don't mind me asking? Those things are wicked, and fetch a pretty penny from what I hear.

Where is the "U.S.A" on the blades of the Flash and Trident folders? Are these models components made elsewhere and then assembled in the U.S.A.?

Country of origin is listed on the website for each product. All of our assisted knives and multi-tools are from the USA.
