    thanks for the input guys! After sleeping on it and giving it careful deliberation------------------Ebony it will be.

    Here is a quick and dirty progress picture. Bolsters/frames are milled, holes drilled for the scale pins/nails. Still a ton of work to go, fitting of the scales,shield(oval as the Remington has) swedging and tons of hand finish work.

    Ken, I think it'll look even better with ebony - it doesn't need the *BLING* look of MOP.

    Just a quick update. The scales are on and shield installed. Its really starting to look like its inspiration now.

    Great knife Ken. I really liked the blade length, like a full blade in a gents size frame.
