He's just a great big tease, that Rick.

Hmmm, I think I know where at least one of those knives might be going.

Let's see...center left, a muskrat? Next to that a Dogleg for sure.

Lower left is a stockman? A Menefee stockman would be the BOMB. Lower center is a Eureka Jack, lower right a Backpocket?

Upper left is some sort of prison shank or pig sticker?

That's pretty cool seeing the Menefee Skunk Works.

If'n I were to proffer a guess, I'd wager that it might be a shadow with some sort of micarta scales. But, hey, we're just talkin'...

I've never really been partial to micarta, but Rick turns it into a thing of beauty.

Rick likes to make a shadow pattern on the prototypes first time out before he tries the same pattern with bolsters. That's the primary reason.

I figured it couldn't hurt to be a guinea pig and end up with a knife that would be light, tough, good looking and something you didn't have to fear carrying and using.

Narrowed it down to ivory micarta (reminiscent of the color on the synthetic "Eye Brand" knives) and green canvas micarta. I'm leaning toward the former. (Either would work.)

If I waited five years for Reese Bose & ordered a stockman,it'd probably be a shadow. My kinda knife, you can't hurt it.

I did. Discussed that with Rick at the show. Rick makes a mean Eureka jack.
I love mine and carry it all the time.

I've always wondered if ivory micarta might start looking "grungy" after it's been handled a bunch. Green looks good, I also like the caramel color with a black micarta shield.
