    Totally a case of the "buy both"- struggled with ordering a dirk or bush beater, went with the dirk and after a little found myself with a couple extra $$ and "Hi Christof, what about another blade..."

    That is the smaller blade too! muwaaahaaahaaahaaaaa

    not something I normally do, but I wanted to try this one. The amount of time that goes in is about the same as making a knife in the end!

    Still- minus final stropping and cleanup, here's a modded condor. if anyone wants to get into the modding business on these I can email pointers

    Grind brought back 3/8 of an inch or so. Handle replaced with micarta and extended a touch forward. Grind angle reduced (for reference, on a blade this thick, I'd just as soon do a full convex zero or a flat grind with a final bevel.)

    The grey coating on the flats won't hold up to the work involved, so it just has to come off. once you do that, you have to pull a bit of 320 and 400 to get a really clean forge finish up
