Just a few things I'm working on in between. I shoudl have machete, langseax, another seax, field dirk, and combat LBK pix up today, too.

This is a broad bladed shortfinger and a Chute or Aircrew length Scratchard knife. The chute length is a bit smaller than the full combat.

A few more fun ones here.

First, one of the seax orders:

Obligatory shot of my son, the viking. He loves these.

I did a second gunkote knife when I did the Scratchard this week. This is one of the LBK knives, combat model. This time I used 3/16 8670M instead of the 5160, wanted a slightly lighter weight and different grind. It's still very compact at 9.5 inches with a 4.5 inch blade. Gotta do the sheath up and list this one!

Little filework this time. I like using brass on the coated blades because brass can be blacked.

And this is a... knife..... okay, I am sort of making it for me, but expect it will end up sold before I do much with it. It's a short blade, very heavy, full convex ground, and designed to be a reasonable utility knife for rough work- opening boxes, cutting rope, notching, stuff I do that doesn't involve food.

However, it has a second, possibly primary purpose. I've trained in some martial arts that make use of yawaras (like kobotans without the silly brass knucke spikes) and short blades. So I incorporated those elements to make a mostly legal in a lot of places- 3 1/2 inch bladed, single edged (with a reverse grind, but NOT double edged) small combat knife. It's NOT lightweight, the handle is pretty devastating and fairly thick, easy to hang onto when stabbing 1/2 inch into seasoned maple logs, too. (in all grips)

Knives of this nature have been made through the years, but it's never a popular "market" space as most people don't train with the styles this is suited to.

It's really not. I mean, it's a spearpoint leaf blade, but it's narrower, pointier, mor of a spike tip, long HEAVY handle, 1/4 inch thick tang... it's just, different

Love the seax with the black micarta handle. Man, the black micarta gives the knife a real "sleek" look...awesome. The pins and the tubing look great...and the signature two forward and one back pattern. Uh, the young man (viking) holding the knife is not wanting to dual for it....is he? Looks like he knows how to handle himself.

    Awesome knife, Christof!

    Something I am working on.....

I have no idea what to call it, so I'm calling it the Hell Cleaver right now.

scratchard I am working on, chute length scratchard I am working on, SMATCHET SMATCHET SMATCHET. (all 3 are orders. I intend to do a lot more SMATCHETS)

and a micarta stabby I am making on a whim. It now has a small lanyard hole for some reason, and is sanded to 400 grit and is soaking in oil.
