Hmmmmmmm.....sumthin's up.
Under Knife Reviews I have posted a collaboration, the design by Kevin Harvey (Master Smith) and Boker. A very interesting last resort defense knife for the South African situation.
Hmmmmmmm.....sumthin's up.
Handled one recently and it's something nasty if used aggressivley!
The Harvey's are in a town 1/2 way between Barberton and J'burg. A dorp called Belfast. Easy to miss if you are cruising a tad fast.
I have found South African sheath knives fantastic. Generally the folders are beautiful but difficult to find real users. In the velt the bigger blades tend to be of considerable value.
Last time I was down your way was some 11years back travelling to Maputo. When still working in Zim we travelled down from Harare in the Zim office Hyndai Excel 1.3l. The engineer dude who operated it (was a total asshat) had not looked after it so before going into Mozambique we stopped in Nelspruit where I bought and installed new lights then bought a set of tyres for him at the Tiger Wheels(I think), had the suspension set and won a set of mag wheels. That was a start of humour, being very irritated with my colleague I rejected the offer but the owner was trying to honour the draw (he also noted that our steel rims were shot to heck) so I chose the cheapest, most awful set in brilliant pink and we went forth looking like victims of a Capetown CrossRoads fashion crime. The car travelled nicely but the Sandton Boss was really unimpressed when we stopped by on the return trip.
