Awesome pics. I have GOT to get a better camera!
Just found this 5 year old one of Noccalula Falls(in a dry spell) in Gadsden, AL in a folder with some of my newer pics, and have no idea how it got there

What volume Kestrel is that, Snow?
The bigger one. I believe it's 48L.
Thanks. I had a 38 and am thinking about getting a larger one; good to know the 48 looks more or less sufficient for a minimal weekend. I think they just expanded that series, because I don't remember there being a 58 and 68 in the line-up.
Dang, I just looked at their site and you're right. They only had 2 sizes when I got mine and the 48L was the largest. Moving up to a bigger size meant moving to the more expensive bags. If it had been available, I likely would have gone with a 58L. This one is good for a light weekend but I tend to eat a lot when outdoors and I have to skimp in other areas to get enough food in.
Yeah, I'm thinking a 58L would be good for a weekender...better to have a little extra room than too little. I'll PM you sometime to get your general loadout in the 48L. Thanks Snow.
Jake dog showing me the way to the top of Columbia Mountain, Flathead Valley, NW Montana last week - looking up and down, just before the snowy sleet started, again...
Hey Cynt, we did the Haleakala hike back in Feb, the dry side of the island too - pretty wild stuff eh!
