Now for a fun pic with my point and shoot.

They're not doing good, and neither are any of the birds that need to eat their eggs.
A repeat of history would mostly not be a good thing.

We did the perfectly depressing work of scraping almost 100 flat baby terrapins out of the road today. This little guy was one of the few survivors we found and moved away from the road.

The annular eclipse seen from Japan.

aww I'm jealous you got to see the full eclipse. That looks killer with the cloud cover. We only got a partial view here:
wish I was further north to actually see the full eclipse

after some fog rolled in it gave a nice color tint and darkened it enough to get a little more detail...

This is a terrific thread, we get to see a bit of everything. I took a few days to visit Torrey and Escalante, UT, two remarkable places.

There is no going back. If you find that you're comfortable where you were, it's because you never really left.

Some pictures from horseshoe crab tagging tonight.
These are from when the crabs really started to wash up.

You may not believe this, but those spikey things on the side hurt like all hell when you step on one

Just some more of them coming ashore, I should have tried out my new flash but I didn't think of it.
