    Not sure how I survived over 40 years at the NJ shore without stepping on one of those! It's great to see these critters still doing what they've done for millions of years.

    We had a Dalmatian back in the '60s that loved to harass the large ones in Spermicetti Cove. They'd motor on with Susie barking and jumping around , never touched it though.

    I was about 50 yards away. Luckily I had my 300mm telephoto with a 1.4 teleconverter.

    Tuesday night a group of local folks went to the dry lake bed for some light painting and steel wool spinning.

    Frame shot , trip shutter , run to spot , light steel wool , spin like crazy , run back & close shutter....
