    Orygun!

I like knives, salmon, dungeness crabs, jerky, beer, and blackberry pie.

    Anyone else from Oregon?

I live there but don't go home nearly enough. I live on the Alsea River outside of Waldport and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

    Holla!

I also like Jerkey, Salmon, Knifes, Guns and all that is glorious about OR. I actually grew up in the valley, (Tigard, Sherwood, Willsonville) and while that are is much greener to where I live now, it doesn't hold a candle to the beauty of Three Sisters and the Ochocos.

Yep. Nothing like going out on the back deck in the morning and looking at the Three Sisters, and Mt Bachelor.
I was born in Springfield. Way to many trees and under brush for me. Kinda like living in a jungle...

Why in the world do I ever leave town?
The Alsea river is 100ft from my front door, Drift creek is a short paddle across the river. There are Bald Eagles, Elk, Ospreys, Salmon and Steelhead right there and I'm rarely home.

    I'm an idiot!

    Oh yes.

There is this myth that it rains a lot in Oregon.

The fact is that it only rains once per year.

Of course, it starts in September and rains through June. But it's only once per year. And July and August are often very nice.

Born and raised in Roseburg, Just finished at OSU, living in Utah 'til next fall, then moving up to Portland. Utah definitely makes me miss oregon, way too dry, and my car doesn't like snow (Roseburg and Corvallis are both at about 500-600 Ft so not much snow, Provo is like 4800)

I used to go there all the time when I was a kid. I miss all the streams, waterfalls, trout fishing, diggin for clams, salmon fishing. I wasn't old enough to hunt but I remember deer like crazy too. There was nothing like fresh trout over an open fire. Very few places I'd want to love but orgeon has all my requirements and it's one of the few places I have been that I miss. Hopefully someday I'll get the chance to go back and do some trout fishing and hunting. Great state you have for those that live there.

Actually the dirty little secret is that we get less rain then some of the east coast states. New York gets more rain annually then we do. Bwahahahaha!!!
