I live about half time in Salem and half time in Vancouver.
I grew up in boring North Dakota but finished school and college in Montana.
Oregon is gorgeous and I love the year round green. Nowhere is more beautiful than the Beartooth Mountains and the pass over in to Yellowstone from Red Lodge.

born in corvallis, live in portland. seems like there are a lot of knife people in oregon. and i notice it's not just the "rednecks". a lot of regular folks here appreciate the utility of a good knife.

It's good to see you here. Yes, even us non-rednecks love good steel. Some of us have even found ways to keep good steel from rusting in Oregon. It's not easy though.

I used to live in a little town called Camas Valley, west of Roseburg on highway 42. then moved to Coos Bay, until I went in the service. Now in Western Washington state, near Winlock.

Lake Oswego, checking in. My son and I are big into Boy Scouts, Bend, the Sisters Wilderness and knives.... I just discovered Tom Veff (Veff Knife Sharpening in Oregon City) a few weeks ago! Moved out to Oregon from Michigan about 10 years ago. Love it here because the woods and no snow!!!!

Well, it only seems right. We have an awful lot of big knife companies headquartered here in Oregon.
Benchmade, Kershaw, Gerber, Al Mar, Leatherman, CRKT, and probably some others I have forgotten.

I had forgotten about this thread. Good to see quite a few members here from Oregon. For anyone that hasn't seen the pictures I posted up in Hunting, here is just one of the great things about living in Central Oregon ( Bend). These elk were about 10 miles from my house.

I lived my whole life in Umatilla county until last April when I took a transfer to Colorado. Born in Pendleton, raised in Milton-freewater, and spent the last 5 years in Hermiston. Surprisingly Pueblo county, Colorado is nearly identical to Umatilla county.

Hey, new guy here. Born and raised in Bend. I love the East side of the Cacades, it's beautiful out here. I'll probably move back when I'm out of the service, I'm hoping I get to see a few foggy, hoarfrost covered mornings before I leave.

Here's a pic from last year

It'll be six years in Orygun come this Thanksgiving. Kind of hard to believe I've been out here so long already.
