I enjoy winter as much , or even possibly more that a lot of folks, but I really had to look at the calender today. Third week in April, yep!
Taken from my back deck, with 5 to 9 inches expected over night.
Yikes!
I bet the family is happy you found it, not driving them batty looking!have you tried using a leather slip with a lanyard hole to fix to your belt? when I used to ride I had a chain attached to my wallet, knife and house keys lol.
But it doesnt stop those little misplacements.

I know, I almost put it in whine and cheese, but thought it was kind of folksy looking with the heavy wet snow in the trees.
I would post a picture of my big boy toy, but do not want to start a "should it be made there" thread.
Now if I can make it out to the shop-----------------------------

A friend of mine in upstate new york back in 2005 (while making a sword I commissioned) got stuck in his shop...he thankfully had beer and beef jerky!so its not all bad if you prepare for such hazzards.
Well, I just rebooted after severe thunderstorms, hail and tornados passed through our area, but thank the Lord, no damage. We got 3/4" of rain in about 40 minutes, and the trees whipped pretty good, but the hail was small. Hope everyone else rides out these storms as well.

Glad to hear all is okay there Jeff. We didn't get much except for some small hail here in this part of the city. As bad as the damage is in some places, it's good to hear that there aren't a lot of injuries reported so far.

My father passed on in the early hours this morning so I'll be offline for a few days beginning sometime on Saturday as I attend to my family.
For those of you so inclined, please send up a good thought or prayer in his memory.
In my absence, please contact Gus or use the "report" button if assistance is needed.
My thanks in advance for your good thoughts.

Alright, I've been all through the house/ car/ gym bag/ tool hutch/ yard and have come to the realization that I've lost my Case yellow synthetic scales cv trapper, darn it. Must have fallen out of my pocket somewhere. Extra bummed because I had just recently spent a few hours putting a really great edge on both blades, bonded with the knife, so to speak, and was also quite proud of my increasing skill at sharpening. Well, at least it wasn't a GEC or something extra pricey, but you know it's not always about the $.
My last recourse is to ask at the gym in anyone has found my little yellow knife. What are the odds of someone turning it in?
Don't you guys hate it when that happens? Have you lost any knives that you were particularly fond of?
Drives me insane when I can't find one. I will stop everything until the lost sheep is found.
