Well, things finally came together for me. No tag soup this year. Pacific NW grey ghost,,,
Somewhere around 200+yard shot. Not sure, but I heard the bullet hit home. Hit him a little far back, but he didn't go anywhere. Spined him, lost the tenderloins.
Closest I've been to a 4pt yet. This one is a 3x4,,,
I'm pretty happy, it's a good deer for these parts. Took 6 hours to get him back to the truck. My ass is still beat.
Still have a doe tag, not sure I want to do another this year though.

Tenderloins are a choice cut, tucked in under the spine towards the ass end. Kind of right above the guts. Not much meat there, but good eatin. But not when you blow them up,,,
