OK, once more on the job: Thank you all guys for your responses.
My situation is a bit complicated: I get paid very well now, even according to the pre-crisis measures. The problem is that I have no chance to educate myself and grow professionally, which I find quite dangerous being only 30. I could wait till times get better and try for a promotion then, but now I'm afraid this company won't be here that long - we're rapidly losing customers, goodwill and hence, of course, the earnings, and the management seems to escalate this by its poor decicions rather than taking the right ones.
I already had been unemployed last year and don't want to experience it again, so I gotta prepare myself for the next year, if the s**t really hits the fan.

In fact, I HAVE TO make more than average pay (and my GF, too) to make it and have a family once. Because unlike my friends and coworkers, our parents aren't gonna help us with anything, which otherwise is quite usual in this country.
