    Very nice Peter.

#871 is easily my favorite from Mr. Davison

I'm wondering how many owners of Todd's great knives carry and use them rather than just collecting them. Thanks!

buckthorn, these two I carry and use (don't misuse) for their intended purpose on a regular basis - and I enjoy it!

The more the bolsters get scratched a little, just like the micarta or the blades, the more it will be "mine"

Very nice pair! I like the darker colored canvas micarta.

Thanks Peter. I've carried, and lightly used, mine on occasion. It's sort of perplexing to regularly carry and use several Spyderco models and, on the other hand, have considerable affection for Todd's beautiful rendition of a traditional. I'm quite careful with my tools but if I happen to do serious damage to any of the Spydercos I know I can just contact my dealer and have him order a duplicate (in most cases). With Todd's hand made folder it's another situation all together.

Out of the 4 I have, there's one I sometimes carry & use:

Funny. It's quite similar to secxtant's "carry Davison"!

    Kind regards,

    Jos

Yes, very close! Mine is 3-7/8 and the canvas on mine is not as dark as it appears to be on the photos.

Buckthorn, the fact that it can not be easily substituted makes carrying it so special. But I'm a little bit more careful than usually

Mine is 3-3/4" closed. Damn this imperial system... is that shorter, or longer? Ah. Figured it out. Yours is a wee bit longer!

While we're at it, here's some pics of my latest 2:

All the knives I have from Todd are very well made the jigged bone spear point is a small knife I enjoy holding it in my hand as I watch TV I just sit there and roll it around in my hand and in my minds eye I can see every detail just by feeling the little jewel. But I am a Slip joint nut I have carried one since I was six years old.

Camo?! Is that G10? Looks great!
Todd makes the finest slipjoints at a reasonable price and I have enjoyed carrying and using mine very much.
Keep up the good work my friend.

Todd or Beryl can clarify but imo it is dyed / stabilized burl due to the swirled patterns. The random pattern reminded me of camo and these looked like they would make good hunting buddies.
