Yep, I had about four layers on whenever I was outside.

Just landed in San Jose airport. Can't wait to get home. I don't travel too well.

    Just don't like the hassle?

Habor Freight has a shop in San Jose? Sweet, I can pick up one of those lil sanders in person. Need one for sharpening.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. I was just talking to Ban about picking up some new tools too. I'll stop by harbor freight today to pick up a punch set and maybe some other random stuff if they got it.

Yep, it is a hassle and also because it takes me a while to recover from the plane ride. I had to ship my Miltac pen home because Denver Airport Security said that it was a kubaton. But my stainless sharpie was ok so go figure.

Yep, you should pick up a little grinder. Makes heavy profiling and general knife edge maintenance much quicker and easier. Couple of decent belts and you will be set for a while.

Yeah, on flights, I take my Zebra F-701. Never had a problem yet, and I'm sure it could take impact use well enough.

I'm definitely looking to pick up a little grinder and some belts... It seems like they'd make my life so much easier. This one would be good enough right?

Hey, btw, what's a good refill for my Miltac pen? The one I have doesn't write very well.

I checked out the Zebra 701s at office depot and they are pretty decent. I much prefer the stainless sharpie for a cheap disposable kubaton.

Yeah, that grinder should be enough for sharpening and profiling. I am not that familiar with the selection of belts for 1X30s but I am sure trugrit will have them.

Not sure about the refill for the miltac pens.

Office depot stores sell their own branded refills that writes really smooth. Brand is Foray, sku # 400-668. Bring in your cartridge and match it to the pictur (you'll see what I mean).

1x30 is fine for sharpening/reprofiling, has the basic essential belts from low grit ceramics to leather belts.

Just finished building this 10/22 Razor in 17HM2. 10/22 razor receiver with mainly stock ruger parts, Hogue Stock, 16" Whistle Pig Bull Barrel in 17HM2, and Fujinon 3.5-10X scope. The scope is sitting a skosh higher than I would like but I can live with it. Don't really feel like ordering new scope rings right now. Been sitting on this project for way too long. Can't wait to hit to range to sight it in.
