Hi,
Apart from being 1095 steel, one of the great things about much of the Becker line is that the edges are not too thick. This makes for a knife that is easy to sharpen and cuts well.
I have had good success with a plain combo stone for sharpening these, as well as diamond stones or sandpaper.
If you like shiny or sharp edges on Beckers, post up some pics.
Here is my BK-11 after a quick touchup on some 2100g sandpaper.
