nice work.. that came out great..![]()
I haven't posted much here lately.......my 16 month old son has kept me busy!!
I did finally get around to making a sheath for the custom Peacemaker knife Bryan Breeden made for me over a year ago.
I made up a batch of vinegaroon to darken the leather.
There are a few things I could have done differently, but I think it will be a good usable sheath!
Raw leather
After a dip in black tea (gives the leather more tannins for the vinegaroon to react with)
After the vinegaroon bath

That looks fabulous to me. Very nice work.![]()
What do you need to treat the leather with after the vinegaroon soak?
TIA!

Very nice work. I'm just getting started in sheathmaking ( bought my first supplies/tools yesterday.) I am reading tutorials on the internet. Pics and posts like yours are an inspiration![]()
Great looking sheath. Nice looking knife too.
