I don't think a spanto is going to happen. You're probably going to see a high hollow similar to the 0551.

That's what I'm hoping for! The knife looks very sweet but I already have plenty of 3.5" blades. A 4" folder would fit right into my stable very nicely indeed.

Is the 055x high hollow or high saber?

Either way. It doesn't look like a spanto grind, but then again it just looks like an early CAD drawing. I guess we'll find out when the knife comes out.

Haha at all the people not wanting the 3" inch blade, but I agree with them.

There are plenty of options for a 3" blade. Not so many for 3.5-4.0" blades. Regardless, I'll probably get one even if it was 3", but 3.5" would be great and 4" would be AWESOME.

Woah! No love for the 3" blades. What's wrong with wanting a nice knife that you can travel with? And, there is nothing that you can do with 4" that a 3" blade won't do just as well.
And seriously a SAK... that hurts .
I just have a lot of 3.5-4" blades already and I am tired of having to leave favorites at home when I travel.
Either I am excited for this collaboration.

I don't know much about how the awards get handed out, but this thing looks like it could take "Blade of the Year" or "Collaboration of the Year". Bring it!!

I like everything but the clip, just put one on like the 0550-0551, theese knives ride low enough in the pocket already and the other clip is cooler anyway...... Just my opinion though.

Oh and Rick if, when you start making those scales i'll take a tan, grey, marsh green, and Ti......

It looks great. I like the fact that it looks more like the xm-18 than the 0550/0551 do.

Any earthy tone especially in a shade of green gets my tail wagging.

This knife rocks! I didn't think it would be possible to top the 0551 but man, some how he did! And I don't even particularly like flippers.

Congratulations Rick, you've done it again my friend. . . .

Thanks guys!! As for the 0550/0551 handle options.....yes, I WILL be offering them in a variety of colors...I will be posting a thread soon about it....!

But this thread is about this new design, and I do appreciate your comments!

we are early in the process...so heck yea we may break the earlier threads record!
