24 days - 22,235 views for this thread. Not too shabby Thomas/Rick!! Looks like there is just a little bit of interest in this knife. Just imagine what might be if you give us some more details now instead of waiting until Blade Show.

I know other LEO's that carry an XM-24 - but they're knife nuts. It's awfully big and heavy for the blade size of a Cold Steel large Voyager. It's a knife for any serious collector though even if it doesn't work with your load-out weight considerations. Definitely sheeple unfriendly as is the XM-18 which is about perfect IMHO.

I have a large Sebenza and I want to EDC it but every time I leave the house I "must" have the XM-18 in my pocket or my RAT/Esee Izula in a minimal kydex sheath. The XM's are built with every bit or more precision than a CRK, they're just made on a bigger tougher scale, if that makes sense.
Well in my situation size and weight are not an issue. I have a rajah 2 and a spartan in my regular edc rotation so I doubt the XM-24 would put a dent. The real problem comes in getting one, without getting raped in the secondary market of course. Meanwhile I'll just sit here patiently for my 0551 pre-order and dream of being on the pre-order list for the new flipper.

I was looking at that CAD picture again, and wishing the pocket clip would be the standard ZT clip so I could get a size reference. I just hope it isn't too big.

Wink What makes this knife stand out....more!

If you click on the fine Countdown Timer, and study the second & bottom drawing very carefully....what makes this knife really stand out is the simple yet elegant downward appendage, found directly below the pivot point.

Therein lies the crux of the situation.

    ZT/H Flipper....BRING IT!

    Exclamation

No,RevolverRoger....it's still a "GO" as far as I know!

(Thomas W. & Rick Hinderer are keeping most of the details to themselves, until it is unveiled @ Blade Show....we be starvin' for details!)

I was just pointing out: the Flipper is what sets this one apart.

Really???!!! Is that a big deal or something? If it were there should be at least 25 pages about it.
