A Gerber Silver Knight #7621. Drop Point and Sheepsfoot blades in Hitachi Gingami steel and stabilized wood.

I bought one of these Al Mar designed knives made by Sakai in Japan about a month ago for less that $20. I discovered that this knife rings all the bells for me, and proceeded to find one in nicer condition for a bit higher price. This one appears to be in pretty nice shape for a 25-40 year old knife which has seen some pocket time.

Favorite two blade shapes set at opposite ends as I like them to be, set on a single spring. The sheepsfoot sets low, so that it doesn't detract from comfort when using the master blade. Carbide containing stainless steel hardened to a Rockwell C of 58-60. Length closed is 3 1/4".

That sounds very interesting . I've always been fascinated by Al-Mar knives. Seemed to always be well designed, super sharp and if Al-Mar named, expensive

Curious what your thoughts about Al mar in general? I had a a small Al-mar folder, like peanut sized that I lost somehow.
