Just got the Texas jack I spoke about. Nice knife. Scales are darker than I expected. Picture is extraodinarily crummy but here it is:

I have a fixed blade hunter on order from James Whitten called the "ladykiller". It'll be February before I get it. It's a smallish knife. Here's the photo of one that inspired me to order one from him:

I have a nice new GEC Gepetto Whittler with burnt stag, waitin' under the tree, haven't laid eyes or hands on it yet, the wife snagged it as it came in the mail while I was away, good for her, and well, in 5 days or so, it'll be good for me
