    Buffalo Brand/Ru-Ko German Made Knife

I bought this fixed blade, sheathed knife in about 1966 at a Canadian Outfitter. It's kind of a bird & trout size, 3 1/2 in Blade, 7 1/4 in. overall, carbon blade, nice brass hilt, and possibly a European Stag handle-leather spacers w/red, white & blue tape wrap. Says Buffalo Brand on one tang and RU-KO Solingen on the other. On sheath, tanned leather, is a embossed buffalo the the BB logo. Any info at all would be helpful and value or scarcity if any.

I love the embossed buffalo on the sheath.

Other than that, it is a typical generic German hunting knife of the 1950s-70s era.
They could be ordered with various style blades. This one is a "Finn," like a puukko.

Variations on this theme were made for dozens if not hundreds of mostly small mostly
short-lived wholesalers and retailers in the USA, Canada, and elsewhere.
Those purveyors paid for custom blade stamping dies... and in this case custom leather dies.

I have seen Ru-Ko Buffalo brand a few times before, but I don' know (or don't recall) who or
    where that outfit was.

A half dozen or so contract mfr's in Solingen made all of those knives.
And they all bought their components from the same suppliers.
