Becker Modifications and Inspirations Thread - NO CHATTING!

Since we have accumulated a good bit of threads, I thought maybe we could compile a big collection of the different mods we have done here in a single thread. So, first up:

    NO CHATTING!

We will have a discussion thread for this so we can chat back and forth in there and answer questions, etc... For the discussion thread, go here:

    http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/sh...cussion-Thread

Here is what I would like to see: Each of us that has posted a mod, post up the main pics in here and a little description of what was done. I would love to see post after post of these, and think it would help the newer people see just what all can be done with these knives, especially if they can see it all in one place.

I don't know if this will work. It is going to take a lot of restraint on some peoples parts to keep from chatting in here, and I will be asking a mod or two to keep an eye on it and enforce the request if need be, but I would prefer if we can manage to do without that.

Anyways, I will post up mine, and let's see where this goes...

    Here are mine.

BK2 Box for the stock sheath, and a drop leg carry system, as well as some short and sweet mods to the sheath itself.

Floppy belt loop got yer sheath down? Perk it up with an easy fix!

I sewed a straight line directly across under the rivet that holds the retention strap in, which was also the same size as credit card sized stuff. It holds a fresnel lens, EZ Lap Diamond Card, and a plastic card with some basic survival info on it. Then covered with inner tube to hold in the stuff.

Allen wrench storage is two one inch nylon spacers from Lowes in the indicated sizes, with notches to match up and hold them in place inbetween the loop plate and the sheath proper.

BK2 Box was 3D modeled, then printed by shapeways.com in their white strong flexible material, then painted.

Drop leg attachment was made using a two inch buckle from wal-mart, a two inch wide piece of nylon webbing, four snaps, a two inch aluminum screw post, a half inch aluminum screw post with open back, a one and one quarter inch stainless steel screw. Buckle had the plastic bar cut off, holes drilled to take the aluminum screw posts, and then those were inserted through the existing belt loop of the knife.

Not shown in the picture is that the leg strap has since been replaced with an elastic webbing band, which works much, much better.

Here's some of my BK2 sheath mod. Used a 2 1/4 web belt, added an aluminum plate for stability, made firesteel loops out of cable clamps, attached a BK14 DerekH style, and added an ESEE pouch. Here's the link: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/sh...ly-Photo-Heavy

Not mine, but a very elaborate, very cool looking mod to a Camillus era BK2.

I put jimping, a firesteel notch (works pretty decent, my firesteel is crap) and a billy can lifter notch on the blade and made a leather sheath. It's the second sheath I ever made, and I think it turned out pretty nice

Here's my 2 stripped, convexed, pot lifter notch, patina, micarta stained and tru-oiled. Webbing lanyard lets me flail the hell out of wood without "Maethoring" a knee.

Sheath fitted with a large teklok and added plastic cable clamps to mount a firesteel (Warrior's idea).

Jimping on the BK2 w/ a dremel and carbide bit.

Jimping on a BK2, done with a dremel, and a small diamond file.
